Farigiraf looks like it runs a moon cult and I want in.

Girafarig is one of the Pokemon franchise’s earliest Pokemon, and one of its most unique. Fans have always loved the concept of this Psychic-type giraffe and its strange, bite-happy tail. But when Stantler received its evolution in Pokemon Arceus, fans began to clamor for an evolution for the long-neglected Girafarig, and The Pokemon Company has finally answered. Farigiraf was one of the first Pokemon announced for Scarlet and Violet, revealing that the little face that once dominated Girafarig’s tail has crept upwards to encapsulate its head. Much like a BAPE full zip hoodie, but actually cool.

It turns out that the little brain in Girafarig’s tail has finally managed to sync up with its head, amplifying Farigiraf’s Psychic-type powers by 10.

To find Girafarig in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to head east of Porto Marinada in West Province (Area Two). This is the only place that it spawns in the game and it’s not rare here so it won’t take you long to snag one.

Now that you finally have your hands on Girafarig, it’s only natural that you want to evolve it. But evolving Girafarig isn’t as simple as just getting it up a few levels, though that will probably be part of the process. You’ll need to grind up levels until Girafarig learns the move Twin Beam, which will occur naturally at level 32.

Once Girafarig has Twin Beam in its arsenal, level it up one more time. In doing so, Girafarig’s little tail brain will move towards its head and you’ll finally get to welcome the absolutely adorable, alien-chic Farigiraf into your team!
