Before you start hosting a Kava Party in The Sims 4, make sure you have the following ready for the big day:

  • At least one host Sim
  • Several guests to socialize with
  • A Kava Bowl, purchased from the Build Menu for 100 Simoleons
  • Extra Simoleons or Kava Root to make Kava!

While having some Kava Root makes things slightly easier and cheaper, creating Kava only costs 18 Simoleons per bowl. This makes it relatively inexpensive compared to other dishes and drinks in the game.

Kava Party Objectives

Like many other parties in The Sims, your main objective is socializing with your guests. By completing this task, you’ll automatically gain a large boost to your progress! You’ll also find other goals, with the list below describing a few examples:

  • Invite guests to drink Kava
  • Grab a drink of Kava
  • Make a Kava Toast
  • Make a group meal
  • Tell jokes
  • Tell stories

You may find other options along the way, but be prepared to encounter at least a few of these!

My go-to method for getting gold for most parties is to have two hosts. I always have one host cooking and making drinks while the other Sim socializes with guests. However, if you only have one, you can hire a caterer to take care of the food while you focus on talking and drinking Kava.
