In Sims 4, Before you can perform a Promposal towards another Sim, you first need to make an extravagant sign! To do this, click on your Sim and choose to create the sign. Upon doing this, your character will place a blank sign on the ground and spray paint it. Once it’s done, you can present it to another Sim.

After finishing your Promposal sign, look for a teenage Sim to ask to prom. Go into the Prom dialogue options and press “Present Promposal Sign”. You’ll show your potential date the sign, to which they’ll accept or reject your offer. While it isn’t guaranteed to work, you’ll know the outcome upon seeing the response notification in the top corner.

If you don’t want to use the Promposal method to invite someone to prom, you can select a Sim and simply ask them to the event. While this doesn’t have the same flashy display, it’ll still get the message across. However, like the Promposal, you may get rejected by the other person. Fortunately, you can attend prom alone or with friends if the romance route doesn’t work.
