How to Complete the Dining Room Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

This is no time for a feast.

Resident Evil 4 Remake surely doesn’t shy away from its obscure puzzles, similar to the other entries in the franchise. Whether it be strange crystal balls, small blue medallions scattered across various points on the map, or even eight symbol doors, there’s more than enough obscurity to have you scratching your head. One such puzzle is fairly easy once you understand it, though is confusing at first. Here’s how to complete the dining room puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

You’ll first come across the dining room puzzle in the Dining Room (naturally) during Chapter 9, as you’re searching for animal heads to complete the statue. There will be several large tables with a few seats each, which you’re prompted to have either you or Ashley sit at. The end goal is essentially to have Ashley and Leon sit at the correct seats, though which seats those are can be a little confusing.

Alas, the environment around you holds the key. At the end of the Dining Room is two paintings of a king and queen sitting at a dining table. Each of these seats has a set of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc., that are the key to solving this puzzle. You want to have Leon and Ashley sit at the chairs that have the items placed the same way. They aren’t hard to spot, especially in the case of the king’s seat. Once they both sit in the correct spots, you’ll unlock the snake head to pick up. Now you can head out and get the other heads from the other wings of the Castle.

It’s worth noting before you leave the Dining Hall that one of the blue medallions is here, nestled in between some of the curtains on one of the windows. Hope that bonus tip helps, like our previous guide on what Professional mode is.
