The Courtesy Visit is one of the most rushed quests in Escape from Tarkov’s mid-wipe. Finishing the Courtesy Visit task from Jaeger will unlock Nostalgia, which rewards a Documents Case. Luckily, these tasks are easy to complete if you play safe and you know the location of the houses for the visit. Here’s how to finish the Courtesy Visit task in Escape from Tarkov and find all the houses in the abandoned village on Shoreline.
How to Finish the Courtesy Visit Task in Escape from Tarkov
Courtesy Visit has the following objectives:
- Locate the chairman’s house in the abandoned village on Shoreline.
- Locate the fisherman’s house in the abandoned village on Shoreline.
- Locate the priest’s house in the abandoned village on Shoreline.
- Survive and extract from Shoreline (not a “run through”).
You don’t have to finish these objectives in a specific order, and you don’t need to run marathon modes to finish them either. You can finish them in any order as long as you finish them all in one raid, survive, and extract from Shoreline. If this is the only task you are finishing on Shoreline, you should run a light loadout. You don’t want to join the fights happening in the village or the resort. Pack light and focus on the abandoned village.
The abandoned village is located at the northwest part of Shoreline, near the Path to Lighthouse extraction and the village. If you spawned by the tunnel, you can hug the corner of the map and run north until you reach the abandoned village. The area is a swamp, so you want to avoid walking on the puddles, or you’ll start walking like you are on quicksand.
Chairman’s house location
Since the abandoned village has a lot of houses, there’s a surefire way to avoid confusion if you start with the chairman’s house. If you followed the instructions above, the house in the image above should be the first house you would encounter. Step inside the house to finish the objective.
Priest’s house location
When you step outside the chairman’s house, run straight from the main door. Literally, run straight until you see the priest’s house. There’s a dead body inside, and it should finish the objective. You can loot this dead body for some great loot. These Dead Scav bodies may contain valuable loot because they can practically spawn almost anything. It is a great way to make Roubles fast if you are running jacket runs on Shoreline.
Fisherman’s house location
After exiting the priest’s house, head back to the chairman’s house. Hug the opposite side of the chairman’s house and walk straight to the north of Shoreline (literally to the Path of Lighthouse extraction). The first house you see while walking straight should be the fisherman’s house. You don’t need to go inside to finish the objective. Just go to the back with the “nicer-looking” fence, and it should finish the objective.
Now, you just have to survive and extract. Prepare for another Shoreline raid for the next task, which is Nostalgia.
