How to Clear Out the Thorns Around Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Sleeping Beauty waits within, maybe.

Tears of the Kingdom Walk on Rails

Someone once told me that the area around Rabella was inspired by England, and you know what? I believe them. Because it’s nonstop rain. Which makes clearing out thorns particularly difficult. If you’re struggling with it too, here’s how to clear out the thorns around Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

If you’re like me, you beelined it straight to the Skyview tower in the far southeast, hoping to unlock a new region on the map. Only to be stopped in your tracks by endless showers and a sea of thorns that feel like they’re right out of Sleeping Beauty.

Normally, you’d destroy thorns by setting them on fire or exploding them with a bomb (which would then set them on fire). But since it’s raining… what can you do?

Well, first thing’s first. You’ll need to get to the entrance of the Skyview Tower. If you’re not sure how to do this, climb up the nearby mountain just North of the Skyview Tower. This mountain will be looking at the back of the Skyview tower, and you’ll know you’re in the right place because there’s a Korok circle at the top.

Glide into the inner sanctum and make your way to the front of the tower.

Once you’re in front of the Skyview tower, you’ll notice there’s lots of construction material nearby. There’s also scaffolding on either side of the entrance of the tower.

You’re going to want to attach three of the long boards of wood together, end to end, with Ultrahand. Then, with Ultrahand, you’re going to want to lay it across the scaffolding so that it covers the thorns.

With the thorns covered, you can finally set them on fire! Chuck a Fire Fruit or shoot a flame arrow at the thorns (do not throw a bomb in this case, as that will also destroy the boards) and they’ll slowly disintegrate.

This isn’t the only Skyview tower that’s a pain to unlock. Check out a very similar puzzle here: How to Solve the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom.
