How to Get Rid of Purple Slime in Lightyear Frontier

To clear Noxious Slime in Lightyear Frontier, you’ll first want to get the Irrigation Hose and Vacuum Harvester if you haven’t already. These can be found at the pillars of orange smoke in the sky alongside all the other tools in the game. Once you have those, make your way to a pool of water and use the Vacuum Harvester to get as much water as possible. You’re going to need it.

Once you have the water, make your way to any puddle of Noxious Slime and equip the Irrigation Hose. From there, simply spray the Noxious Slime until it disappears. Do this for the vast majority of slime in a particular region to restore it. For example, I did so for Pine Heights then went to sleep. When I awoke, I got a cutscene saying that the region was restored.

What Do You Get for Restoring Regions?

For each region you restore, you should gain access to new resources that can be used to further development of your home base. For example, with the first region of Pine Heights, you’ll gain access to both Red Crystals and a more stable source of Aluminum, granting you access to new buildables like the Upgrade Depot and Merchant Landing. While you shouldn’t gun for it specifically, it is good to keep it in mind when you’re out of new things to build.
