Where are my $150,000 EA?

So, you pre-ordered Need For Speed Unbound and got to play the game earlier, but now you are wondering where those pre-order bonuses are. Let’s find out how to claim Pre-Order bonuses in NFS Unbound.

It would be extremely useful if you could spend the 150,000 in-game bucks to upgrade the first car, especially after the introduction to the game concludes after you lose your starter junker and have to start all over again with a B-class, ultra-slow vehicle. Unfortunately, that is not the case, because you have not read the fine print.

  • The $150,000 of in-game cash from the pre-order bonus is for use in the multiplayer mode only. To claim it, just enter the “Lakeshore Online” mode, and the money will be available to you. Not bad for a headstart in the multiplayer mode that is completely separate from your story mode progress. Strange design choice – but possible there to increase some balance in competitive play. So basically, between story mode and multiplayer, you will have two different characters, two different garages, and two different bank accounts – and no easy pre-order money in the single-player whatsoever!
  • Banner artworks and stickers from the pre-order bonus are also for multiplayer mode only, you will find them at the bottom of the list of available designs, and you can use them right away when you start Lakeshore Online mode and go into the customization options.
  • The custom Tags and Licence Plate designs can be used in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Tags are those anime smoke effects, and already when you first get to the customization screen in both game modes, you can select them, as they are at the bottom of the list. The same goes for bonus License Plate designs that bring unique graphics to the background of your plate.

So, there you have it – sometimes you need to read that fine print, but who knew that single-player and online mode in Need For Speed Unbound will be separated so much as if they are two different games?
