What’s the Mathematical Formula for Overtime Bonus Calculation in Lethal Company?

Whenever you sell more scrap than you were supposed to, you get an Overtime bonus in the game after you fly away from the Company Moon. You may be wondering how exactly the bonus was calculated, or in other words, what’s the mathematical formula used for this calculation, and now we have a solution.

((Quota Gathered – Quota Required) / 5) + (15 * Days Until Deadline)

  • Quota Gathered is the value of the scrap you’ve sold.
  • Quota Required is the value of the scrap that’s required for you to pass the level.
  • Days Until Deadline is the number of days until the deadline.

If you are selling your scrap on the last day, the “Days Until Deadline” modifier will be -1.

Should You Sell Scrap Before the Deadline in Lethal Company?

I advise against selling your scrap before the deadline in Lethal Company. Sure, there is a better overtime bonus, but think about the value of the scrap you are losing if you opt to sell things early.

Before landing on the company moon, you will be able to see the value percentage the Company is ready to give you for your scrap. So, it is better to just land and then immediately take off from a Moon to cycle through days and get more value on the next day.

Should You Sell More Scrap Than Necessary For the Quota in Lethal Company?

This depends on a couple of factors, and I advise you to consult with your crewmates regarding sales because all sales are final. After you put the item on the Jeb’s rack, you can’t pick it up again.

If you sell just enough to go by, you won’t get any overtime bonus, and you might lack funds for important ship upgrades and/or travel costs for Rend, Dine, and Titan.
