How to Make a Monorail in LEGO Fortnite

This project is for ambitious souls only. The process is lengthy if you want to make it worth it, and a lot of materials are required. However it’s also fun to make and once it’s done, you’ll finally be able to go from one biome to another in a fast, easy way. To build your monorail you will need:

  • Rustic Thin Floor 03 (The Ancient Thin Floor works too)
  • 2 Dynamic Foundations
  • 6 Large Thrusters
  • 12 Small Wheels
  • 2 Activation Switches

The first step is long but fundamental. You have to pick the spots that your monorail is going to connect. The best strategy is to pick high enough places that are at the same altitude. You can either connect two cliffs or you can place some stairs on land and connect them.

Then you have to start placing the Thin Floor to make the rail. Make sure you’re using snap mode so the placing is much easier and quicker, and you’re sure it’s aligned. Carefully walk on the line of flooring you’re making to get to the other end; the place you want to travel to with your monorail.

Once that’s done, you’re going to place your Dynamic Foundation at the center of the rail. Now you’ll want to go underneath the Foundation (this is way easier if you’re in Sandbox mode) and place three Small Wheels on each side of the Foundation, touching the rail, and parallel to the Foundation itself. The point of placing them like that is so that the platform stays in place and doesn’t fall off.

You need to repeat this process to have two separate platforms: one that comes and one that goes. The direction they’ll go will be determined by the position of the Thrusters.

Placing the Large Thrusters is what comes next. You will need to put three on each Dynamic Foundation, ones that make one of the platforms go, and three more facing the opposite direction on the other platform, so you can come back.

The final step is to place one Activation Switch on each platform. After this is done, you’re ready to try out your monorail! Additionally, you can put some fencing on the platforms so it looks just a bit better, or to make sure you don’t fall when you’re on them, but this is completely optional.
