There’s nothing more fun than to build your own custom ship in No Man’s Sky, which is crafted exactly how you want it to be. Here’s how to do so.
How to Make a Custom Ship in No Man’s Sky
The process of building your own custom ship in the game can be broken down into three elaborate steps:
- Salvage Customization Modules
- Getting a Reactor core
- Building the Ship
How to Salvage a Customization Module in No Man’s Sky
Customization Modules are key components in building your own ship, and can only be obtained by salvaging other ships. You can do it with any ship that you have bought, or crashed ones found on other planets. Scrapping can be done at the Starship Outfitting Terminal in the Space Station.
Once you have reached the Terminal, start “begin salvage analysis.” The module you’ll get will depend on the type of your ship; every ship offers only one Customization Module.
How to Purchase a Reactor Core in No Man’s Sky
This part is quite simple as you can get a core from the ship technology merchant, who can be found at a space station. Here’s the amount of nanites that you’ll require for each type:
- 300 nanites (C Class)
- 3,000 nanites (B Class)
- 6,500 nanites (A Class)
- 12,000 nanites (S Class)
In order to create a ship, you will need to use the Starship Fabricator, which can be found near the Starship Outfitting Terminal. To begin, interact with the Starship Fabricator and choose the type of ship you want to create. Once you have selected the ship type, you will then need to choose the Customization Modules. Finally, you will need to select a Reactor Core to complete the process.
You’ll also get to select the color of your choice from the Fabricator and once done, press the Assembly button to get your custom ship. In the entire process, getting the Customization Modules can be a tricky task, so make sure to read our No Man’s Sky Ship Parts guide here.
