The Divine Beast Dancing Lion is one of the first main bosses Elden Ring players will encounter in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and is required to advance through the main story. Here is how to beat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
How to Defeat The Divine Beast Dancing Lion in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
The first step to beating the boss is to use the Redmane Freyja NPC Summon from the gold sign outside the door of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. This will summon the character from the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace and will help you fight in battle.
You should also bring your own summon into the fight, like the Mimic Spirit Ash, to help cause distractions as well. This can be a difficult fight even if leveled up with Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash.
The first phase of the fight will have the Dancing Lion aggressively hit you with headbutts and smoke attacks. The best option is to constantly roll and dodge these attacks while aiming for the head and rear when possible.
The second phase of the fight will start using different elemental attacks, such as lightning, ice, and wind. There will be lightning bolts, shocks coming from the ground, frostbite-causing blizzards, ice spikes, and tornadoes.
This is where the companions come in handy to distract it while you dodging from a safe distance. It will mix the elemental attacks with its regular attacks, so it is best to move forward with its first moveset.
Defeating the Divine Beast Dancing Lion will reward with 90,000 Runes, the Divine Beast Head helm, and the Remembrance of the Dancing Lion. The last item can be traded to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold for either the Enraged Divine Beast charm or Divine Beast Frost Stomp Ash of War.
