Rend Moon is the first of the three premium / hard mode Moons in Lethal Company. It’s scary from the start, and if you need help to beat it, I will be glad to help you as much as I can.

How to Get Into the Facility on Rend Moon in Lethal Company

Getting into the Facility is not complicated. Surviving in it is. There are two entrances to the Facility on Rend: The Main entrance and the Fire Exit. However, I reckon you will only use the Main in most cases.

How to Reach Main Facility Entrance on Rend Moon in Lethal Company

Reaching the Main entrance to the Facility on Rend Moon in Lethal Company is one of the easiest tasks. Do not be afraid of the perpetual snowstorm. There are beacons of light connected with ropes that you can follow. You will probably hit a rock very fast, meaning you need to go around it (left or right, it doesn’t matter, just go until you see another lamp post.) After reaching the end of the “light line,” make sure to turn left and follow the wall, and in just about a dozen steps, you should see the Main door.

How to Reach Fire Exit Entrance on Rend Moon in Lethal Company

Don’t.

Sure, you can, but I have never had any good experience regarding Fire Exit on the Rend Moon. It’s difficult to find, it’s a one-way drop to get inside, and it’s excruciatingly difficult to get back to the ship due to terrible terrain conditions.

When you hop off the spaceship, go forward and turn slightly (about 10 degrees) to the left, march forward until you hit a mountain, and then make a 90-degree turn to the left and climb up. Eventually, you will see a small ravine in which you should jump in, and voila, there’s the Fire Exit, half-buried by snow.

Getting from the Fire Exit to the Ship is the problem for me. When you get out of the Fire Exit, you should go right because if you go left, it’s a dead end. You should somehow get back near the Facility building or the “light line” and navigate back from there, but I honestly have no way to point out any landmarks (due to the snowstorm not letting me see anything) and have managed to do this only once.

How to Survive Rend Moon in Lethal Company

Doesn’t it sound easy so far? Trust me, it isn’t. If you see that Rend is Eclipsed on the Terminal, when you’re deciding which Moon your team will visit, you’re not going there. Trust me.

The Outside

The Outside will be littered with Eyeless Dogs in half of your runs and Forest Keepers in about a third. Earth Leviathans can show up once every ten runs, but we’ll need to focus on the first two enemies. One doesn’t see you, and the other doesn’t hear you. My first Rend encounter was under Eclipse, with one of each spawning around the ship, and I just noped the heck back to the orbit. The problem with this is that due to abysmal visibility, you need to hug the “light line” in order to have a remote idea of where you are.

The Inside

The inside is even worse if you are not scared by the outside. However, it’s not unbeatable. And you’ll probably love the new scenery. We’re no longer raiding old factories, this is a retro fancy mansion we’re dealing with:

The enemies you will face inside are truly difficult, so high awareness and coordination are a must if you want to get out alive with the scrap goods:

  • Nutcracker (~25%)
  • Jester (~15%)
  • Bracken (~13%)
  • Bunker Spider (~11%)
  • Coil-Head (~11%)
  • Snare Flea (~8%)
  • Mask (~6%)
  • Ghost Girl (~5%)
  • Spore Lizard (~2%)
  • Hygrodere (~1.5%)

So, funnily enough, if you see a Spore Lizard or Hygrodere, consider yourself immensely lucky. You’ve probably witnessed a lot of Twitch highlights with near-impossible-to-deal-with enemy lineups.

Strategy for Rend Moon in Lethal Company

Take on Rend only if you and your crew are 100% confident you can make it out alive with a profit. If you have little to no issues with beginner and intermediate moons, increasing the challenge is something you should look forward to. Communication and coordination must be at a high level to safely get out with the scrap. Remember, you paid good money to go to Rend and need to capitalize on the vast wealth within the mansion.
