Amazon’s new MMO New World is filled with gear to collect and trust me, you’re going to collect a lot of it. A ton of that gear is going to become useless pretty quickly, so you’ll need to salvage it. Here’s how to salvage equipment in New World.
How to Salvage Gear in New World
When you have a piece of gear you want to get out of your inventory (which will be often) you can salvage it for some gold and some extra items like repair parts. In order to salvage the equipment, all you have to do is hit Tab to open your inventory.
Then put your mouse cursor over the item you’re looking to salvage and hold the S key and left-click on it. This will then pull up a message asking if you are sure you want to salvage the piece of gear. Just click yes and the piece will be salvaged.
You can’t currently batch salvage pieces so it’s best to keep up with it often so you’re not spending a ton of time salvaging a ton of gear at once.
