Spiritfarer is a beautiful game with meaningful questlines and peaceful activities to partake in. While you play Spiritfarer, you can obtain a unique ability, meditation. It’s not immediately available, but once you unlock it, meditating can be extremely useful when it comes to grabbing new quests.
How to Meditate in Spiritfarer
In Spiritfarer, you need to unlock the ability to meditate. To do this, you’ll need to find a snake named Summer and work your way through their questline. It’ll take you a bit of time to get through everything, but eventually Summer will ask you to help her find an area to meditate.
What’s nice is that not only will you help Summer find a meditation spot, but Summer will help you in return by teaching you how to meditate. To meditate, you’ll need to seek out an area where meditation can be done. Typically, meditation is done near a patch of trees, or on a rock.
Summer’s meditation spot is a great example as it’s a peaceful-looking rock found at Mount Toroyama. If you need hints, some of the characters in the game will mention meditation spots when you talk to them.
Once you find a proper meditation area, you’ll need to press Y on Nintendo Switch, Square on PS4, or X on Xbox One to begin meditating. Meditating is not only relaxing, it can be useful in Spiritfarer as it’ll help you pass time in the game.
For example, certain quests can only be completed at certain times, or require a certain amount of time passing before you can complete them. You can meditate from daytime to nighttime, and nighttime to daytime which is great for picking up quests exclusively offered during the day, or at night.
In general, it’s a useful skill to have in your back pocket. It’s also an important aspect of Spiritfarer in terms of the game’s story, setting, and mood. To recap, you’ll learn how to meditate after helping Summer the snake. Meditation can be done in specific areas such as by a grove of trees, or a calm spot like a rock on a mountain.
To begin meditating, press Y on Nintendo Switch, Square on PS4, or X on Xbox One.
