Our God (of War) is an awesome God!

Ragnarok is coming. With less than a week away from the launch of God of War: Ragnarok, PlayStation gamers are excited to see what adventures through Norse mythology will be explored in Kratos and Atreus’ latest chapter in the God of War series. Also, for trophy hunters, the ninth installment of one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises introduces a new platinum trophy to earn for those willing to brave the challenges that Fimbulwinter will bring.

While there are currently scant details on the latest installment’s trophy list, the true test of mastery of the God of War series comes from earning the Platinum in the saga’s previous seven titles that have trophy lists. But how many hours would that take exactly to earn the platinum trophy for every God of War game? This guide will answer that question and more, providing the time to platinum and difficulty for each trophy list in the God of War saga in chronological order, and has been compiled through the consultation of trophy guides from a number of trophy-oriented websites including PSNPROFILES, PlayStation Trophies, Powerpyx, and through my own experiences with the God of War series.

So, How Many Hours Would it Take to Platinum Every God of War Game?

There are two answers to this question. If you simply want to earn the platinum for the seven previous God of War games, then you will be looking at approximately 130 hours of playtime in order to accomplish this impressive feat.

However, if you want to go one step further and complete EVERY God of War trophy list, to collect all 10 Platinum trophies in the series prior to the release of Ragnarok, then you will need to play God of War (2005), God of War II, and God of War III TWICE, as each of those multiplatform games has two attainable Platinum trophies. Playing these three games twice will add nearly 50 hours to the running total, meaning that it would take approximately 180 hours to earn every God of War Platinum trophy.
