The Resident Evil 4 Remake is merely two months away from launch, with its release set for March 24, 2023, arriving for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. For PlayStation gamers specifically, the Resident Evil 4 Remake presents a unique opportunity for trophy hunters to complete their collection of mainline Resident Evil platinum trophies, as the previous PS3 and PS4 remasters of the acclaimed fourth title in the Resident Evil series both lacked platinum trophies from their respective lists.
But how long exactly would it take for gamers to Platinum every mainline Resident Evil game? This guide will answer that question and more, providing the time to platinum and difficulty for each trophy list of every numbered Resident Evil game (sorry Code: Veronica and other canonical spinoffs). This list has been compiled through the consultation of guides from several trophy-oriented websites, including PSNPROFILES, PlayStation Trophies, Powerpyx, as well as my own experiences with the Resident Evil series.

So, How Many Hours Would it Take to Platinum Every Mainline Resident Evil Game?
There are multiple answers to this question, which are as follows:
If you want to earn the platinum trophy for every possible numbered Resident Evil entry once, then it will take you approximately 240 hours.
However, unlocking 100% of the Resident Evil 4 trophies on PS3 or PS4 in addition to the eight other platinums, will require a grand total of 265 hours.
If you seek to acquire all fourteen possible platinum trophies in the main Resident Evil series, including the duplicates for Resident Evil 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and Village (without “auto-popping” any trophies), you will need to set aside 425 hours.
Lastly, if you want to 100% both of the trophy lists for the PS3 & PS4 versions of Resident Evil 4, along with conquering the fourteen platinum trophies for the eight other mainline Resident Evil games, it will require around 475 hours.
