Palia Crop Growth Time Guide

To find out a crop’s growth speed, hover over its seed bag to see how many days it takes to mature fully. One in-game day equals one real-world hour, meaning it will usually take around 3-5 hours for most plants to grow. However, you’ll have to check back and water your plants every hour, or else they’ll halt their growth progress.

For example, onions require four in-game days to grow, while carrots only need three. As long as you diligently water the two, your carrots will finish in around three hours and your onions an hour later. It’ll take slightly longer if you don’t water them every hour, though, so make sure you return to your home plot and check up on them.

With that said, growing fruits and vegetables in Palia takes a while. One strategy for efficient farming is to plant a bunch of seeds at once before running off to fish, forage, or find other resources you need. I usually go out hunting for fish, bugs, and animal resources to sell.

This time in-between growing crops and harvesting them is a good chance to level up your skills or finish a few quests, as long as you remember to return to your plants and water them occasionally.
