While playing through Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, players will need to make use of the game’s Fast Travel mechanic in order to quickly move between different locations. Fast Travel isn’t immediately available in that you’re only allowed to Fast Travel to locations that you’ve previously discovered.
As you progress through the game and discover new locations, your Fast Travel options will gradually expand. One of the most common Fast Travel destinations is the White House, as the White House acts as your base of operations in The Division 2.
If you’re exploring an SHD Cache and need to quickly return to the White House for example, you can make use of Fast Travel. To Fast Travel in The Division 2, you’ll first need to open up your map by pressing the Touchpad on PlayStation 4, View on Xbox One, or M on PC.
With your map open, hover over and select the area you wish to Fast Travel to. Check to confirm you’ve selected the correct area, then press and hold Square on PlayStation 4, X on Xbox One, or Left-Click on PC. After that, you’ll begin the Fast Travel process and will load into your designated location.
Again, the more locations you discover in The Division 2, the more efficient the game’s Fast Travel mechanic will become. Even better is that Fast Travel is completely free, meaning you can use it as much as you like in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2!
