Whilst some flowers are only useful when it comes to gifting them to other residents of Forgotten Valley or using them to create fertilizer, there are four that have incredibly useful benefits. It is important to make note of these flowers and collect them for use later. Don’t be like me and give them away without realizing it only to regret it later. I am here to save you from that fate.

How to Combine Flowers and Crops
Once you have finished year one in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life and enter your second year. Takakura will soon tell you that someone slipped some seeds into his pocket when he was in the city. When he came home and planted them, Vinnie was the result. This three-headed, talkative plant will fuse different crops together to make hybrid varieties. He can also fuse flowers with a number of crops too! Which is exactly what we want to do. Vinnie will accept the crop in either seed or produce form, so it is really up to you which route you would like to take.

Vinnie is quite temperamental though, and he will not produce hybrid crops for you as soon as you meet him. You will need to talk to him consistently until he is friendly towards you and only then will he offer this service to you. This doesn’t take too long as you can talk to him repeatedly. You can also check how much he likes you on the same screen as the other Forgotten Valley residents.
That’s it budding florists! It is a great idea to use the flowers above to your advantage. Blue crops sell for more and are necessary for completing your encyclopedia. The others are generally useful for producing quality crops. Make sure that if you end up selling your crops you get the most gold out of Van that you can by haggling with him.
