Hogwarts Legacy Patch Adds DLSS 3.7 Support, Photo Mode, and More

FSR still at 2.0 though

A new major free title update for Hogwarts Legacy has dropped on PC, and consoles and includes new features, bug fixes, items, and some quality-of-life additions. This patch also includes some PC-specific fixes and updates, and we’ll take a look at what’s in this 55 GB Hogwarts Legacy update on Steam.

Hogwarts Legacy June 6 Patch Details

The previously exclusive PlayStation content is now available across all platforms. This includes the Haunted Shop mission, as well as some cosmetics and items that were available on just PlayStation consoles.

Photo mode is the other major addition, and includes a bunch of features we’ve come to expect, such as filters, lens adjustment, poses, post-processing effects, and more. You can also reset your talent points without having to start a new playthrough.

Apart from a decent amount of bug fixes, there are some PC-specific additions as well. DLSS has now been updated to the latest version, which is 3.7, so you don’t need to manually swap out the DLL file anymore. XeSS has also been updated to its latest version 1.3. However, FSR is still at version 2, which is a shame, because we’ve seen massive improvement in image quality with FSR 3.

If you’re using DLSS and XeSS, you’ll definitely see some improvement in image quality and performance. They have also fixed some lighting bugs and improved the ray tracing by cleaning up rogue semi-translucent meshes in BVH. Feel free to read the complete patch notes on Steam.

Overall, it’s nice to see the game receiving some form of support, as the last patch came out over a year ago in June 2023. If you have been waiting to try out the title, now is a pretty good time to do so. It’s currently on sale across all platforms, though only the deluxe editions are on sale for Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
