Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Save File Location on PC

Back up Senua's latest Saga!

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has support for cloud saves via Steam Cloud on PC, but if you don’t have the most reliable connection, we recommend manually backing up your progress. Here is how you can do that by accessing the Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 save file location on your PC.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Save File Location

The save files for Hellblade 2 are available in the following location for the Steam version.

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Hellblade2\Saved\SaveGames

The files are available in the SaveGames folder, and the NTSaveGameSlot00.sav records your game progress.

All the other files in the folder are the different settings you’ve selected. We recommend backing up the entire SaveGames folder just in case.

Faster Navigation

You can quickly navigate to the save file location by entering the following address in Windows Run. You can bring up Run by pressing the Windows and R keys together.

%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Hellblade2\Saved\SaveGames

This will take you to the same location above but without the need for your specific username.

Enable Steam Cloud for Hellblade 2

Even if you’re manually backing up your progress, we still recommend enabling Steam Cloud support for Hellblade 2, which should be enabled by default. The saved files are less than a few kilobytes, and it’s best to have a copy of those online. Here’s how you can make sure this is enabled.

  • Open Steam, and navigate to your library
  • Here, right-click on Hellblade 2 and select Properties
  • In the General tab, make sure STEAM CLOUD is toggled

This will allow you to pick up your game from where you last left off on a different device with the same Steam account.

Overall, we’re glad the save files for Hellblade 2 aren’t hidden away in some cryptic location, and Steam Cloud support is very useful, especially if you play on more than one device.

So far, I’m very impressed with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and while it’s a demanding experience built on Unreal Engine 5 for even high-end PCs, thankfully there are enough settings to tweak to improve performance.
