The Regional Phenomena main quest is the key to unlocking many side quests, secrets, and more in that particular region where the unique phenomenon occurs. One of the side quests unlocked when eradicating the sludge from the Zora Domain and all of its waters is “Glory of the Zora”. This, like the other three side missions in the three other regions, offers a similar reward that, in my opinion, must be collected in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

In this specific quest, you’ll receive a tailored weapon called the Lightscale Trident. This Lightscale Trident is used by Sidon, the Sage of Water, and is strongly associated with those who swim up waterfalls and fish all day.

In this post, I’ll be guiding you through the process of obtaining the Lightscale Trident. I’ll be discussing how to get the side quest started, what’s needed to craft this specialty, and where you can find all of the items required to finish the mission. Also, I’ll be adding links to other regions’ side quests where you can obtain their weapons, which are only fit for the strongest and bravest soldiers. Here’s how to get the Lightscale Trident in Tears of the Kingdom.

Getting the Lightscale Trident in Tears of the Kingdom

The Following Materials Are Needed to Craft the Lightscale Trident:

  • 1 x Zora Spear
  • 3 x Diamonds
  • 5 x Pieces of Flint

Where to Find a Zora Spear in TOTK

To find a Zora Spear, you don’t have to venture too far from the Zora Domain. If you’re lucky enough, you might even receive one on your mission to solve the Regional Phenomena. If you’re not that lucky, then make your way southwest to the Tabahl Woods and search for an entrance to the Tabahl Woods Cave. The location and coordinates are displayed on the map below.

Prepare for a battle, as inside these caves you’ll find some monsters, which include Like Likes and Horriblins. The latter might have the Zora Spear as a weapon, and you’ll just have to kill it and grab his weapon. If that is unsuccessful and doesn’t drop the spear, kill one of the Like Likes, as the treasure chest it drops should contain a Zora Spear.

Top Tip: Remember to save before entering the caves, as it will save time reloading just before killing the Horriblins and Like Like. If you do not get what you seek, reload the saved game and kill them until one drops the weapon needed to continue on the Glory of the Zora.

Where to Find Flints & Diamonds Needed for the Lightscale Trident in TOTK

To find the materials needed for the Lightscale Trident, you’ll need to explore Hyrule if you do not have any in your inventory. Of the materials, diamonds will be the hardest to come by, while the others should be stockpiled in your inventory.

The Best Places to Find Flints are:

  • All stables
  • Ore deposits
  • Campfires

Locations Where to Find Diamonds in Tears of the Kingdom:

  • Maoikes Shrine, Lanayru Wetlands (2277, 0150, 0079)
  • Mayaotaki Shrine, Hebra Mountains (-0956, 3535, 0234)
  • Momosik Shrine, Eldin Canyon (3730, -2057, 0189)

If you’ve already found these diamond locations, read How to Get the Boulder Breaker in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for some other diamond locations.

Glory of the Zora Complete

To complete the Glory of the Zora mission and finally get your hands on Sidon’s weapon of choice, you’ll need to travel back to Zora Domain. You can fast travel to the Mogawak Shrine, located directly under where you need to meet Dento again.

Approach Dento and interact with him. A few speech bubbles will pop up, and Dento will take the materials you’ve collected and get to work right away. After he’s done, you’ll find a new spear in your possession, the Lightscale Trident.

Now that you know how to get the best weapon available in the Zora Domain, you can now go on and complete the quests to find the other special weapons. Read: How to Get Scimitar of the Seven in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to begin your quests for the best weapon of Gerudo.
