Most veteran players have tons of well-built characters in Genshin Impact but will claim there’s nothing they can use them on. And that’s why they bring back another of those hugely-boosted-bosses events in Feast of Departed Warriors. In this iteration, you’ll be facing three of the Inazuma World Bosses in their most powerful versions yet, aiming high for some big rewards.
And don’t fret if you know you’re not strong enough yet. The main rewards (Primogems) are obtained in the easiest difficulties as usual, so the bigger challenges are there only if you really feel like torturing yourself for a few minutes. Here’s our guide on the Feast of Departed Warrior Event for Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Feast of Departed Warriors Guide
The event is automatically unlocked for all players who are Adventure Level 30 or higher and have completed Mondstadt’s Archon Quest (ending in “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”). The gateway will then be available next to Mondstadt city, at the shoreside near Falcon Coast.
Once you’re here, you can face those herculean challenges alone or with a friend (two characters for each), but mind that the foes’ HP will increase accordingly. While I enjoy facing big challenges alone, hanging out with friends in co-op during these events were some of my best memories in this game, so give it a try if you can.

The three opponents are the Thunder Manifestation, the Maguu Kenki, and the Bapthysmal Vishap Herds, all beefed up to the next level and ready to kick your butt. You can choose your difficulty level and which extra stats you wanna give them, so all suffering is completely in your hands. You’ll face all of them consecutively on the final day, so good luck!
After selecting buffs for the enemy, you get to pick some for yourself, so choose the ones that either allow you to make quick deal of the boss or that let you do some more aggressive compositions without healers/shielders.
Genshin Impact Feast of Departed Warriors Rewards
Rewards are the standard for every event, including Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, Talent Books, Weapon Ascension Materials and some Weapon Enhancement Ores. Your rewards are defined by your current difficulty settings. The harder your boss was, the more points you’ll get.
If you’re just looking for the Primos, you can get them by fighting the Hard difficulty boss with no extra buffs. You can then slowly add some spicy perks until you can get all rewards. The easiest (more like less hard) settings you can get are the following:
- Difficulty: Expert
- Opponent’s ATK increase: 5%
- Opponent’s Element 1 RES increase: 80%
- Opponent’s Element 2 RES increase: 80%
- Additional buffs: All enabled
You get exactly 6000 points for each fight with these settings, and you won’t have to worry about a time limit or extra HP. For the elemental resistances, just don’t add the one with the same element as the character you’ll be using. I used Yoimiya for the Thunder Manifestation, so it has no extra Pyro RES for example.
Bring your food, pots, and your best comps for these challenges, as you’ll definitely need them. And if your comp wasn’t enough, you might consider rolling in the most recent banner, which is definitely quite OP.
