Across the Wilderness Event

Genshin Impact “Across The Wilderness” Event – Guide and Rewards

Just grab the bloons and don't pop them.

If you had enough minigames in the last event, prepare for even more. Across The Wilderness is a new event for Genshin Impact set in Mondstadt that has players jumping through strangers’ rooftops to get some balloons. This game always brings up new ways to disturb its citizens’ peace, which never ceases to amaze me.

The event runs from January 3rd to 13th and can be played either solo or in Co-op, with the usual event loot as a reward for players. As the update draws to a close, this is one of the last chances to save extra primos for Alhaitham or try another shot at the current banners.

How to Enter Across The Wilderness and Rewards

The event will be immediately available for all players who are at Adventure Rank 20 or higher and have completed the Prologue: Act III Archon Quest (Mondstadt’s chapters, basically). Click on the Event menu and accept the Across The Wilderness quest to properly unlock the event.

You also get the Wilderness Compass which, unlike other regional compasses, grants you buffs for chasing the balloons. Those buffs can be set in Configure Skills on the event’s menu before choosing your course. There are a total of six challenges, and one will be unlocked daily.

You can use any of your character’s active skills, so using mobility cheaters like Kazuha, Venti, Wanderer, or Keqing is a good strategy. You also don’t need to grab all of the balloons for the full Primogem prizes, so don’t worry about that.

The full rewards include Primogems, Mora, Weapon Enhancement Materials, Hero’s Wit, and Mondstadt Talent Books. As this is a simple stage event, you can leave all challenges for later and get them done in a single go. We’ve all been there, no shame in doing that. The event is currently running alongside Windtrace which actually takes some more time to complete, so be prepared.
