Gears of War 5 Campaign Length Guide: How Long is Gears 5?

If you’ve been wondering about the basic structure of Gears 5, we’ll break it down for you: you’re looking at 4 different acts, with each having their own separate chapters. Acts 1 and 3 have 4 chapters apiece, Act 2 has 5, and Act 4 only has 2. For those that are going to focus solely on pushing through the main story at the expense of the sidequests and exploring to find all 90 Easter eggs in the game, we reckon you’re going to top out at around 15 hours for the Gears 5 campaign

If you’re someone who’s opting in to the exploration extras, to doing absolutely everything that you can to find all the collectibles in each Act (some are easier to find than others, for sure), then we anticipate that you’re looking at over 25 hours of gameplay. Of course, bumping the difficulty up on the gameplay is also going to make things take longer, so we would keep that in mind. As with our recommendations when it comes to finding the collectibles in the various Acts, we would scale down the difficulty if your only aim is to pick things up and restore it if you’re just wanting to experience the main campaign as its designers intended.

Now that you’ve got our Gears of War 5 campaign length guide to hand, you should be better able to demarcate your time between all the great releases that have come out this month. We’re talking Borderlands 3, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and of course, keeping up with the eternal grind that is getting ready for Shadowkeep to drop on October 1 for all you Destiny 2 fiends out there. Check out our guides hub for the above titles to stay on top of everything.
