Flygon Pokemon Sword and Shield Location Guide

Flygon has always looked pretty majestic for a Pokemon that looks like, well, a bug dragon. Luckily enough, Flygon is actually a Ground and Dragon type so if you haven’t got that bit of your team cornered then this a pretty good pick up. It’s possible to find a Flygon in the wild in Pokemon Sword and Shield, although it’s actually really rare. Ultra rare, to be specific. You have around a 1% spawn chance of getting a Flygon hovering around the Lake of Outrage during periods of Intense Sun. You might also be able to find one kicking about Dusty Bowl during Sandstorms, but that requires you doing the legwork in exploring and getting yourself there.

Another alternative if you don’t fancy those spawn chances will be to evolve a Flygon from a Vibrava at Level 45. This, in turn, evolves from Trapinch at Level 35, and can’t be found out in the open world so you’re going to have to have caught a Trapinch on Route 6 at some point. There isn’t any other requirement to evolve your Vibrava into Flygon aside from meeting the level threshold, so it’s not like you’re going to have to hold it up under the sun at a particular time during the day to catch specifically three special evolution rays. I mean, hell, even Sylveon has tougher standards when you wanna turn an Eevee into one.

Aside from that, now that you have our Flygon Pokemon Sword and Shield location guide, getting your hands on one shouldn’t be super hard regardless of whether you’re stalking the wild for it or evolving it from a Vibrava.
