Whether you’re someone that’s cracking through your third Fire Emblem: Three Houses playthrough or just starting out, it might be helpful for you to know just what you’re in for with the different routes.
We’re not going to spoil the story for you (because that would be awful), but we do have information about the number of chapters in each different route that you can take from the various House to the Church’s route.
If you have questions about the fourth route, also known to some as the secret route, we have a Fire Emblem Three Houses secret route guide. If you want someplace to start, then this Fire Emblem Three Houses chapters guide will give you the basics.
Fire Emblem Three Houses Chapters Guide: How Many Chapters in Each Route
We’ve split this guide up according to the various routes, and we’ve listed out the chapters in each. We’re separating the chapters before the time-skip from the routes themselves since you all experience the same ones, but just some general information here for you:
Edelgard’s personal Crimson Flower route is the shortest, clocking in at 18 chapters. Dimitri’s route clocks in at a total of 22 chapters, and the Church’s route clocks in 21 chapters. If you’ve picked Team Golden Deer, then you’re clocking in at 22 chapters, just like the Azure Moon path of the Blue Lions.

Now that you’ve checked out our Fire Emblem Three Houses chapters guide, you have a good idea of how long each separate story path may be.
As mentioned above, Edelgard’s is the shortest, so you could very well want to keep that in mind if you’re pressed for time; the whole game has been estimated at a whopping 240 hours if you finish every single story path and as many paralogues as possible, so we don’t blame you at all for wanting to manage your time and expectations.
