Final Fantasy VII Remake Guide: Where to Find Corneo’s Stash

Not all side quests are necessary for this game but we highly recommend trying to complete all of them because they offer even more to enjoy in this stunning recreation from Square Enix. Plus, these quests also offer some pretty sweet loot including completing the Corneo’s Stash objective! This particular quest also offers The Art of Swordplay Volume III as a reward which grants Cloud 10 SP for his weapons, which means even better combat prowess!

How to Start the Corneo’s Stash Quest

In order to kick off this quest, you’re going to need to talk to Damon the Reporter and then talk to Johnny at the Sector 5 Undercity station in order to get the Tomboy Bandit questline. You can go to the Lookout Point if you’d like but this guide will allow for you to skip that if you want to save some time.

Next, you’re going to want to the person that stole Johnny’s wallet, Kyrie, which will eventually lead to a church where you’ll agree to help Kyrie in order to complete the Tomboy Bandit and this is necessary when acquiring Corneo’s Key. Now that you’ve got the key, it’s time to go searching for these Stashes!

All Three Locations for Corneo’s Secret Stashes

One of the three locations that you can find his stash is the collapsed expressway near the north entrance of the caved-in tunnel. You can see exactly where you need to go in the image above. Now it’s time to head over to the Sector 5 Undercity just north of the Chocobo Stop.

To get the Sector 5 Undercity – Steel Mountain location, you’ll need to head to the place highlighted on the map:

After retrieved, it’s time to head to the Control Section in the gross sewers. The final piece can be found in the Former Disposal Area in the Old Trunk Line in the Control Section sewers. If you need help getting to the sewers, keep reading below the image, we’ll walk you through it.

How to Get to the Sewers

In order to get to the Sewers, which is why we saved the best for last, you’ll need to have made it to Chapter 14, which we mention earlier up at the start of this guide. In order to gain access to the sewers, you’ll need to take on the Intel Gathering quest, a quest that can be found by talking to Leslie at Don Corneo’s house that can be found in the Wall Market. Talk to him and you’ve just scored yourself a romantic trip for two into the lovely sewers. Congrats!

Once this mission is finished, you’ve now got access to where you need to be, seen above, to get the third Stash. Before that point though, prepare to defeat the grotesque Mischievous Shoat monster that had the gall to steal Leslie’s Key. Kick its butt to get the key and then continue on to your destination – just please ignore the ladder. Going up it will be Very Bad and you don’t want to do that with your tasks lined up ahead.

Ignoring the Very Bad Ladder, you’re going to see a lever to the right in order to lower the water that is found in the Former Disposal Area, which is where you need to go.

Following this path will have players encouter Sahagin Prince, a boss, which will reward those that beat him with an Enfeeblement ring, and Emerald Tiara, a Moogle Medal, and an Elixer. With that done, visit Marle to complete the Fateful Decisions quest with Leslie and turn in those Stash finds to wrap up a few quests in one.

And that’s how you get to the sewers and find Corneo’s Secret Stash! You can find even more helpful Final Fantasy VII Remake guides right here with our extensive game hub!
