Final Fantasy 16: The Blood Moon Hunt Location and Rewards (FF16)

The Blood Moon is actually not a celestial body at all, but a large Fallen enemy. But its round shape and white pallor naturally make it look a bit moonish. And I guess it kills things, so that’s where the blood comes in. Here’s how to find it.

  • From the world map, select Eastern Sanbreque (The Dragon’s Aery).
  • Go to the Imperial Chase.

From the world map, select the far right waypoint. Once you’ve selected it, choose The Dragon’s Aery.

If you’ve been knocking out all your side quests, you’ll recognize the space The Blood Moon’s chosen to haunt. It’s the exact place we encountered the Bomb King many moons ago.

From the Dragon’s Aery Obelisk, follow the edge of the map south. Eventually, you’ll run into a path that’s almost hidden by trees. Follow this path, then take the first left. If you reach an abandoned-looking house, you missed your turn.

At the end of the path, you’ll find The Blood Moon, actually called Terminus. It’s Rank-A and Level 40 but no more difficult than the Central Node you fought in the last main quest.

Rewards for Defeating The Blood Moon (Terminus) in Final Fantasy 16

Upon defeating The Blood Moon (Terminus), you’ll get the following rewards:

  • Meteorite x 2
  • 3,200 Experience
  • 85 Ability Points
  • 9,800 Gold
  • 35 Renown

Not bad! But while you’re in late game, it’s a great time to pick up the second-strongest sword Final Fantasy 16 has to offer. To start that quest, check out our guide here: How to Get Gotterdammerung in Final Fantasy 16 (FFXVI).
