Final Fantasy 16: How to Get the Braveheart Weapon (FFXVI)

Clive Wallace?

Clive uses a sword as his weapon of choice in Final Fantasy XVI, and you will want to upgrade his sword along the way, starting with the Braveheart weapon. Unlike every other sword in the game, this weapon is much easier to find in FFXVI as long as you know where to look. Here’s how to get the Braveheart weapon in Final Fantasy 16.

How to Claim the Braveheart Sword in Final Fantasy 16

The Braveheart weapon is a pre-order bonus that must be claimed from the systems menu in Final Fantasy XVI. To pick up the weapon for Clive, you have to complete the prologue to the game, which ends after the first major Eikonic fight. Once Clive wakes back up from his daydream, you will get a notification for your bonus item.

When I saw the notification, I opened up the menu and scrolled over to the System tab on the right side of the screen. You can use R2 or L2 to scroll through the menu. Once you are in the System menu, scroll to the chest icon on the right with R1. Below that, you will find three pre-order bonus items. There is the Braveheart weapon, the Cait Sith Charm, and the Scholar’s Spectacles.

Where to Claim Braveheart in FFXVI:

  • Open up the main menu and scroll to System.
  • In the System menu, scroll over to the redeemable items tab.
  • Go down the list and claim all three pre-order items, including Braveheart.

The sword gives Clive a significant damage boost early into the game which can speed up some of the fight if you don’t want to combo as long. As for the other two items, they are both accessories. One will give you an EXP gain bonus and the other will increase your gil earned by 25%.
