Once you unlock the workshop on your Island Sanctuary, you can begin producing and exporting goods to earn Sea Cowries, the island’s currency. A lot goes into managing your production, but Groove is a minor feature that will be vital to your success.

You might not notice it at first, but in the top corner of your screen, when looking at the Worker’s Agenda, you’ll see “Groove x/x.”

This directly correlates to your efficiency bonus. When producing goods of matching types, you’ll gain a bonus. Without stopping, you’ll increase the Groove number for every good made under these conditions. You’ll earn more cowries and experience because your workers have gotten into a groove. That number will continue to increase until it reaches the max level.

You’ll want to ensure everything you’re making is part of the efficiency chain to keep increasing that number.

You can increase your max total of Groove points by building landmarks around the island at plots of land designated for them. You’ll be able to unlock your first one at level three and your second one at level five.

Your Groove will reset between the seven-day seasons, so be sure to account for that when changing your production lines.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about groove and what it does in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary. We have plenty of helpful guides on how to obtain Island Copper Ore and other materials in FFXIV.
