As you progress through the main story of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 you will be tasked with collecting five distorted Time Eggs. This article covers how to collect all five Time Eggs and how you can unlock the secret ending in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. While the secret ending is worth collecting the Time Eggs, this is not an easy process.

It will take a considerable amount of time and effort to collect all five corrupted Time Eggs. If you’re curious about the new Dragon Ball game coming in 2018, we’ve got the first details!

Time Rifts

Once you start moving through the main story in Xenoverse 2 you will get to a point in which five time rifts appear around Conton City. These time rifts consist of Buu’s House, Capsule Corporation, Frieza’s Ship, Guru’s House and Hercule’s House. There are several NPCs within these time rifts that will give you a variety of quests to complete.

Collect the Corrupted Time Eggs

Occasionally you’ll complete a quest and return to Conton City to find that an event of some sort is occurring (indicated by the notification in the top right corner of the screen). Make your way to the green question marks on the map to find that you need to complete a variety of quests in the area as detailed below.

Buu’s House – Give Buu a number of food items so he can create family members. You receive a Time Egg once Buu has created five family members. If you’re playing as a character from Buu’s race you will also get the Kid Buu transformation.

Capsule Corporation – You need to speak with Vegeta here to unlock the Super Saiyan transformation as well as unlocking Super Vegeta. While you’re unlocking these Saiyan-related abilities you will also be proving your strength to Vegeta. Defeat him enough times and you’ll receive a Time Egg for your troubles (whether you’re a Saiyan or not).

Frieza’s Ship – First join Frieza’s ranks and complete a number of quests for Zarbon and Captain Ginyu. Once you’ve completed enough quests you will be able to get quests directly from Frieza. If you’re using Frieza as your character during the quest, Frieza will transform into the golden form, which unlocks it for your character as well. Complete a few more quests and you’ll become Frieza’s second in command. At this point you’ll receive several more quests, but upon completing this last set of quests you’ll receive a Time Egg.

Guru’s House – Speak with Nail and complete all of the quests he offers twice. This can get a little tedious, but push through it as you collect the Dragon Balls for Nail (not to be confused with collecting all seven Dragon Balls so you can make wishes). Complete the quests once and you’ll get increased ability power. Complete the quests a second time and Nail rewards you with a Time Egg and improved Dragon Balls. If you use a Namekian custom character you will also unlock the Super Namekian transformation.

Hercule’s House – While you can complete Hercule’s quests as much as you like, it’s not actually required to get this Time Egg. Instead, head toward Great Saiyaman (Gohan) to the right when you spawn and help him as needed. Once you’ve done this about 10 times he will give you a Time Egg for your trouble.

Unlock the Secret Ending

Gather all five Time Eggs, then make your way to the Time Nest in Conton City so you can speak with the Supreme Kai of Time. She will give you a new set of quests that allow you to play as Bardock (Goku’s father). As you play through the quests Bardock will transform into Super Saiyan 3, which also unlocks this transformation for you when you select Bardock in other modes of play. Of course you can also unlock Super Saiyan 3 for your custom character if you haven’t already.
