Gathering tons of amiibos around your house is more than just a socially acceptable addition (if it’s even acceptable to begin with). Practically every Nintendo game has some sort of direct support with amiibos, so you can always use the excuse of just wanting them for the items you get by scanning them. Your overloaded shelf and your wallet won’t be displeased in any way, don’t worry.Â
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had a lot of these, with some amiibos even offering multiple items, but being scannable only once per day. It’s safe to assume that Tears of the Kingdom, the next entry in the Switch-era Zelda games, will also bring back this amazing feature that gives a reason for buying tons of video game character figures, right? Please say that’s right.
Does Tears of the Kingdom Have amiibo Support? – Answered
Yes, Nintendo has confirmed, to no one’s surprise, that amiibos are still a thing in Tears of the Kingdom. They also announced a new Link in his TotK visual amiibo containing exclusive rewards for the game.

In addition to the new amiibo, figures from other titles in the series were also confirmed to be scannable, granting the player special gliders based on their original games. The confirmed amiibos so far are:
- Link – Rider (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
- Link – Majora’s Mask (The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask)
- Zelda & Loftwing – Skyward Sword (The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD)
More exclusive items from certain amiibos might be released eventually, so keep your eyes open for any chance you have to grab more totally necessary figures. And just like in Breath of the Wild, it’s expected that any amiibo will grant some kind of item or material in Tears of the Kingdom when scanned once per day, so there’s always a reason to get a new one. No one will judge you. I’m definitely not doing that right now.
