The First Descendant is the latest multiplayer looter-shooter from NEXON and is now available on PC and consoles. It’s a free-to-play title and has crossplay support, so players can enjoy cooperative play regardless of what platform they’re on. However, does The First Descendant have cross-progression support? Here is everything you need to know.
Does The First Descendant Have Cross-Progression?
Yes, The First Descendant has cross-progression and crossplay support on all platforms.
Cross-progression allows players to pick up their progress, characters, and stats on any platform. This is especially useful if you plan on playing the title on multiple platforms like PC and PS5.
Unlike crossplay, you need a NEXON account to access cross-progression in The First Descendant. This makes sense because your data and progress have to be shared between platforms through an additional service. This is a common practice for most live-service titles. We’re just glad a NEXON account isn’t required if you don’t want to access this feature.
Making a NEXON account is pretty simple and outside of cross-progression, you can also earn Twitch drops as well.
The First Descendant Platforms
The game is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4 and PS5.
Outside a few technical hiccups, The First Descendant is already a huge launch on Steam, and as of writing, there are nearly 200k concurrent players in-game. The developers are aware of a few issues in the game, such as delays in receiving the Caliber in the inventory and Twitch drops.
If you’re playing the PC version and are running into the DirectX 12 error, we have you covered. Additionally, if you can’t seem to get your controllers to work properly, you need to make a small change in Steam. For more on The First Descendant, make sure to check out our dedicated section.
