Are you wondering whether The First Descendant features multiplayer or has co-op gameplay? Well, we’ve got all the answers you’ve been searching for. Here’s everything you need to know about The First Descendant and whether or not you can play it with friends next week.
Does The First Descendant Support Multiplayer or Co-Op Gameplay?
The First Descendant launches on July 2, 2024, across PC via Steam, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It’s one of Nexon’s latest titles that takes inspiration from other third-person hero-collecting shooters like Warframe, and it’s absolutely stunning on Unreal Engine 5.
And just like Warframe, The First Descendant DOES support co-op gameplay. Multiple players can join up together and embark on adventures into special missions and fight massive bosses. The game features both solo and co-op missions where players can either enjoy the game alone or with other players. Up to four players can participate in a co-op mission.
This feature means players can party up with their friends and enjoy quality gameplay with each other. Just be warned though, The First Descendant’s co-op missions are purely player versus environment and entity, so there’s no player versus player content yet.
Maybe there might be a special mode where players can battle it out against each other on launch day or in the future. but for now, The First Descendant’s co-op missions only place you and your teammates against the game’s monstrous bosses.
