Can You Play Multiplayer in Rise of the Ronin?

For those hoping to embark on an epic adventure with their friends, Rise of the Ronin does feature co-op play for up to three players at once. Getting to explore a massive world with friends sounds like a great time already, so pair it up with the classic Team Ninja gameplay found in games like Nioh and Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty and you’re in for a treat.

According to the official Rise of the Ronin FAQ, it seems players can play through all of the story missions in the game with their friends to make the journey all the more exciting. For those hoping to explore with someone on their couch, there is no indication that couch co-op is available in this game.

Does Rise of the Ronin Have PVP Multiplayer?

If you’re hoping to square off against your friends or face off against a variety of uniquely customized Ronin, you may be hoping that PVP multiplayer shows up here. Unfortunately for those who love the competitive aspect of multiplayer gaming, you won’t be able to experience that here — there is no PVP multiplayer included in Rise of the Ronin. There may be an option to jump into that type of gameplay down the line with an update, but there is no current plan to have PVP multiplayer in this game.
