Does Fall Guys Have Skill-Based Matchmaking? – Answered

Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout does have skill-based matchmaking. It was introduced in April 2022 during Season 6 (legacy).

The game used Unity matchmaker as its search engine, but in April, it switched to the Fortnite matchmaking engine. The next day, skill-based matchmaking and bots were implemented in the game.

This system pits players against opponents of similar skills and, in some cases, bots to help them feel like it’s a more competitive environment.

Some people hate skill-based matchmaking, as your mileage will vary depending on where you fall. The better you are at the game, the more complex the competition will be. Each match will group you into different matchmaking pools. If you play with players of varying skill levels, you’ll have a good mixture of players and bots.

Luckily, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout has cross-play so if you’re having trouble getting a win, you can call in some friends to help you out, no matter the platform everyone is playing on. Bots can still qualify for rounds, so just make sure you don’t lose to an actual robot; you’re better than that!

Well, that’s everything you need to know about if Fall Guys has skill-based matchmaking. If you haven’t yet, be sure to grab the season one legacy pack before it’s too late.
