Do Pals Evolve like Pokemon in Palworld? – Answered

It's evolutionary.

Look, we get it. There are definitely some similarities between Palworld and Pokemon, the other game with monsters you can catch, collect, and battle. But how far do the similarities go? Can you evolve your Pals in Palworld like you can in Pokemon and similar games? The answer might surprise you.

Can You Evolve Pals like Pokemon in Palworld?

Sadly, Pals do not evolve in Palworld. Each Pal is a singular entity that does not change from its original form. A Lamball is always going to be a rolling ball of wool whose best use is to become lamb chops.

But, it’s not all bad news. There are still ways that you can train and strengthen your Pal so that they will be a worthwhile member of your party. This is done by either using items to further enhance your Pal, or by breeding Pals together to get desired traits and fusing them to create a different Pal.

Items will come in handy when creating your specific Pal to your requirements. You can give a Pal any Skill Fruit and it will be able to learn the specific Active Skill that the Skill Fruit has. There are no limitations to this, and any Pal can learn any Active Skill regardless of typing. When you collect Pals Souls, you can use them at a Statue of Power at your Base to increase a Pal of your choice’s stats.

Breeding Pals in Palworld

Although you can’t evolve your Pals in Palworld, you can still breed them for all sorts of interesting results. To start breeding your Pals, you’ll first need to reach level 19 and unlock the Breeding Farm in your Technology tree. Once unlocked, build a Breeding Farm with the following materials:

  • 100 Wood
  • 50 Fiber
  • 20 Stone

Breeding two Pals together will produce an egg, and the species inside depends on its parents. Grabbing a male and female Pal of the same species and having them breed will ensure that the offspring is of the same species, but using two Pals of different species could produce an offspring of either one.

Breeding Pals allows you to have more control over their stats and skills, but also which Pal you want to possess certain skills, potential Lucky Pals, as well as fusing variants. Breeding is the bread and butter of perfecting the ultimate Pal, and all you need to convince them is a little bit of Cake.

Not having evolution doesn’t take away from each Pal as there is still a substantial amount of customization options when it comes to a non-limited move pool and breeding options. This means that no two Pal will be quite the same, and you never know what you’ll be up against. This could make for some fun experiences with future PvP matchups.
