Thankfully, if you’re a little low on lockpicks or want to have extras on hand, there are numerous crafting recipes available in the game. Below is a list of some general crafting recipes for lockpicks in Divinity: Original Sin 2:

  • Needle + Needle
  • Repair Hammer + Nails
  • Soap + Key

Depending on how often you pick up, discard, or sell items, the nails and hammer recipe will likely be your best bet. In particular, you’ll find plenty of nails scattered around, especially during the first Act. Certain vendors also sell nails throughout the game. Similarly, Repair hammers are available as random chest loot or from vendors such as Nebora in Fort Joy.

Alternatively, if you’d rather use the needle or soap recipes, you’ll find both as your progress through the game. Like nails, you can purchase needles and soap from merchants or find them in chests. Interestingly, you may also discover the occasional needle within hay stacks.
