After completing a few quests for him, opening up his business, and helping other folks around town. Scrooge will give you a quest to mine a sell seven gems to Goofy. After completing this task, he will then teach you how to increase the size of your house. The quest is titled “Dreamlight Valley Economy 101.

All you need to do is go into your home, and before entering the main room, turn to your left to find a new elevator. Go into it and click the interact key to open up the expansion tool. You can now expand the size of your home with star coins. The first expansion costs 1,000 coins, and the second will cost 2,000.
