Diablo 4 Helltide Timer Explained – When Do They Spawn?

Keep track as the tide moves in and out.

When you reach World Tier 3 in Diablo 4, the Helltide events are one of the best ways to earn some Sacred Legendary items, but they have set timers. To make the most of the tides, players need to know when the events can spawn on the Sanctuary map, and for how long they last until the timer runs up. Here’s what you need to know about Helltide Timers in Diablo 4.

When Do Helltides Start in Diablo 4?

Helltides will be active on the map every 75 minutes in Diablo 4. When one event ends, the 75 minutes begins. Each Helltide event lasts for exactly one hour, and after that hour is up, the 75 minutes start ticking. That means there is a 2-hour and 15-minute cycle for the Helltide Timer in the game.

Because the tides are so frequent, you don’t need to worry about when they will appear as you would with World Bosses. If you miss one of the Helltides by a few minutes, there is nothing to sweat. Come back in 75 minutes and another one will spawn for a full hour. This rotation will continue until Season 1 when some serious changes are implemented to the game for seasonal content.

When you are involved in a Helltide, any of the Cinders that you collect are limited to that hour. That makes the Helltide timers event more important in Diablo 4 if you are trying to maximize the rewards you earn before the cycle restarts. I like to jump into the tides as soon as they begin. I would rather start early and leave when I have enough rather than get into the Helltide late and lose all my Cinders.

As for World Boss events, those can take up to six hours to spawn and are far more aggravating to keep track of, which is why I put together a guide explaining World Boss timers in Diablo 4.
