If you’re looking for some of the best stealth augmentations in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, you’ve come to the right place. Much like its predecessor, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided allows users to choose one of two ways to engage the different factions they come across throughout the game. They can either A, destroy them using combat strength, or B, sneak around them and hack their way through the game. No matter which way you choose, the game has plenty of options available to help make your job a little easier. This guide will focus on some of the best augmentations for stealth, as well as point out plenty of ways to help you stay off the enemy’s radar.
Plan Your Augmentations
The best way to make sure you’re prepared to go it all in the dark, is to make sure your augmentation setup is outlined for staying in the shadows. This means you’ll want to prioritize augs that increase energy, reduce noise, and give you ways to distract your enemy, while ignoring augmentations that focus on brute combat strength, gun usage, or other combat effective methods. We actually already covered some of these augmentations in our guide to choosing the best augmentations for your playstyle, but we wanted to go a little more in-depth this time around.
Some of the best augmentations to look into include the Lidar Mark Tracker, which will mark enemies with tags, allowing you to keep an eye on them without wasting energy on Smart Vision’s constant use. Smart Vision is also a good investment, as it allows you to spot enemies through walls and other obstructions, helping you plan your attack to make sure you stay unseen. The Wayfinder Radar System will also give stealth players an edge, allowing them to see active guards, as well as giving them notice when guards and security defenses have been alerted.
These aren’t the only augmentations that are good for stealth players. Others you’ll want to pick up include: Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter, Implanted Rebreather, Quicksilver Reflex Booster, Glass-Shield Cloaking, and the Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis. Remote Hacking, and Tesla are both good experimental augmentation options for players as well. Altogether these augmentations only make up a small range of the vast amount of upgrades available to players in Mankind Divided. You’re always welcome to change things up, and add in a few other augs like Nanoblade or Icarus Dash, but these are the ones to stick with if you want to stick strictly to your stealth motif. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun with the game, and the enemies that you find yourself up against.
Following this guide will help you stick to the shadows, and give you plenty of options for approaching the various situations that Jensen will find himself in throughout Deus Ex.
