Detective Pikachu Returns: How to Find the Cute Pokemon That Steals (Quiz Professor)

As sneaky as a cat.

While in Serenity Park during The Missing Jewel in Detective Pikachu Returns, you’ll meet the Quiz Professor, who wants you to answer three questions about Pokemon. You can only provide the correct answer once you’ve found the corresponding Pokemon in Ryme City, though. Here’s how to find the cute Pokemon that steals for the Quiz Professor in The Missing Jewel in Detective Pikachu 2.

There are a handful of cute but sneaky Pokemon in the National Pokedex, such as Sneasel, but only one fits the bill here: Purrloin. The Gen 5 Pokemon may look adorable, but rest assured, it’ll pickpocket your wallet before you know it.

Simply telling the Quiz Professor the correct answer isn’t enough, though. You must actually hunt down a Purrloin and speak to it first.

Where to Find Purrloin in Detective Pikachu Returns

Like Lickitung, who was the answer to question one, Purrloin is in Serenity Park. Head northwest from the Quiz Professor, where you’ll find a stone patio area with a concrete pond being stared into by a Tsareena.

Look slightly left of the pond to spot an old man sitting on a bench. There’s nothing special about him until you realize that his partner Pokemon, who is standing in front of him, is a Purrloin. Speak to the Pokemon, who steals Tim’s pen, before going back to the Quiz Professor.

Tell her that Purrloin is the correct answer to her question, and you’ll move on to question three, which is the last question in her arsenal… For now.
