Destiny’s final event, the Age of Triumph, has arrived, bringing back several of the community’s favorite weapons, raids, and strikes. If you want to complete all of the new challenges, and earn all of the upgrade weapons, you’re going to need to know some of the best places to find and farm Hive Wizards. In this article we’ll break down three of the best spots to find these Wizards in, so you can get to grinding.
There are several great places to grind for Wizards in Destiny and all you’ll need to do to grab them is a little time, the right direction, and a good weapon full of ammunition.
Patrol the Dreadnaught
One of the best places to get started on your hunt for Wizards is the Dreadnaught, Oryx’s family-friendly Hive fortress. Of course, the best place to go here is the Court of Oryx. Once there, start doing some laps around the surrounding area, as Hive Wizards have a very high chance of spawning in the antechambers around the court. You should also remember that any named Wizards or yellow-bar Wizards do not count towards the charging of the Husk of the Pit. If you don’t know what the Husk of the Pit is, be sure to take a look at our complete guide on how to get the Necrochasm Exotic Auto Rifle.
Chamber of Night
Another great way to farm Wizards in Destiny is the mission Chamber of Night, which takes players to the Moon. This mission features a nice little spot where you can kill a Wizard, let yourself be killed, and rinse and repeat. It’s not the most exciting way to grind for those Wizard kills, but it does get the job done quite quickly. To find this area, make your way through the mission until a Hive ship spawns in and drops off a Wizard. Kill the Wizard, then run and jump off the nearby edge to restart the area. Rinse and repeat until you have all your Wizard kills.
Lost to Light
Lost to Light is another great mission with a really nice Wizard farming spot. This mission takes you to the Moon, and you’ll need to complete it until you enter a Darkness Zone and a Wizard spawns near you. At this point, kill the Wizard, and then die by jumping off the cliff nearby, or letting another enemy take down all of your health. The Darkness Zone will force a respawn, and you’ll be able to restart at a checkpoint right before you enter the zone and fight the Wizard.
These are just a few of the best spots to farm for Wizards in Destiny. Thankfully these enemies are actually all over the game world, so if you don’t want to farm using one of the methods above, feel free to just explore and take out Wizards as you come across them. Sure, it will take longer, but it won’t feel like such a grind.
