Destiny 2 New Pyramids – Titan, Mercury, and Mars

With the Destiny 2 2.9.1 update, there are three new Pyramid ships that have arrived on Titan, Mercury, and Mars, all of which are locations that Bungie plans to delete from the game later this year to prepare for new content. The arrival of the new Pyramid ships now brings the total count to four, with a ship arriving Io in June.

It seems that the Darkness has sent these new Pyramid Ships to Titan, Mercury, and Mars to prepare for their arrival in the Beyond Light expansion this September. In the past, Pyramids have brought destruction to a few different planets, so it’s no surprise to see the ships arriving on all four planets that Bungie plans to get rid of later this year. At the time of writing, there is currently one soon to be deleted area without Darkness forces, Leviathan. However, it seems likely that it’s only a matter of time before the Darkness tries to take over this area as well.

With Bungie sharing that it will support Destiny 2 through 2022, it’s going to have to remove some of its old content to continue to expand its world and introduce new locations to the game. So later this year, the planets, Io, Mercury, Mars, and Titan will all go into the “Content Vault” and will be removed from the game. However, the beauty of the vault is that Bungie will still be able to pull specific areas out of it whenever it’d like, for things like limited time events or story expansions at a later date. So while these locations are being removed from the game later this year, it’s possible we will see them again in the future.

In fact, Bungie has already shared that it will be bringing back some content from the original game, which players haven’t been able to experience in the sequel. However, there is still a bit of time before these planets are placed in the Vault, so you won’t have to worry about it quite yet.

The Destiny 2 2.9.1 update officially introduced the Moments of Triumph 2020 event and has officially removed the weekly reward limit from five of its featured Raids. This means that going forward, players will be able to farm Exotics from the Raids as much as they’d like without the weekly limits.

If you’ve been away from the game for a while, the Season of Arrivals update has offered a lot of new content for players to experience.
