The Death Stranding music is one of the best in recent memory and there will likely be some songs that you’ll want to listen to over and over again. There are a couple of different artists that perform in the game and each of the songs has a unique sound to them that is incredibly captivating. With that said, the Death Stranding Music Player will allow players to listen to a song as much as they’d like, here’s how it works.
How to Use the Music Player in Death Stranding to Play a Song
If you’d like to listen to music in Death Stranding, you’ll need to go to a Private Room and interact with the Music Player. This can be done by interacting with the large display in the front of the room and selecting the “Music Player” tab. From there, you can play any song you’d like that you’ve unlocked so far and just chill out for a bit before you head back out.
There’s also a trick that will allow you to play a song in Death Stranding outside of the Private Room, but it’s kind of a weird process. Basically, you’ll need to reach the point in the story where you can build things on your own. At that point, you can place a hologram in the world wherever you’d like and program it to play a specific song when someone approaches it. Unfortunately, this isn’t a great solution but could be nice to have near a building for when you return, or if you just want to share one of your favorite songs with another player.

You may have noticed that you won’t have access to the full Death Stranding song list right away, as new songs will unlock as you make your way through the story. This is a bit of a unique feature and offers players a nice reward for progressing through the main campaign. Additionally, from time to time songs will play by themselves while you’re out and about exploring the land. Unfortunately, there is no way to trigger these though outside of the programmed times.
Death Stranding was initially released on the PlayStation 4 in November 2019 and was ported to the PC in July 2020. With the PC version of the game, players have been experiencing a variety of issues since launch, like stuttering and the 51003 error code. Further, if you’re planning to check out the port, be sure to check out the PC requirements and specs.
