The Dead by Daylight Developer Update goes into detail about all of the upcoming changes to the game, as well as information about the most popular picks for players in Dead by Daylight. This information comes from the most recent iteration of that newsletter.

It looks like a new Meta may be upon us, especially when playing as a Survivor. According to Behaviour Interactive, these are the most popular Perks for both Survivors and Killers throughout the months prior.

With the introduction of The Good Guy, players seemed to have found their new favorite Killer — at least for this particular month. Let’s see who the most and least picked Killers were through this timeframe:

  • The Good Guy – 7% Pick Rate
  • The Huntress – 6% Pick Rate
  • The Wraith – 6% Pick Rate
  • The Legion – 5% Pick Rate
  • The Mastermind – 5% Pick Rate
  • The Trapper – 5% Pick Rate
  • The Shape – 4% Pick Rate
  • The Nurse – 4% Pick Rate
  • The Blight – 4% Pick Rate
  • The Ghostface – 4% Pick Rate

But that doesn’t cover all of the currently available Killers in the game. Let’s see the Pick Rates for the other Killers on the Roster:

  • The Doctor – 4%
  • The Deathslinger – 3%
  • The Spirit – 3%
  • The Nemesis – 3%
  • The Trickster – 3%
  • The Clown – 3%
  • The Oni – 3%
  • The Xenomorph – 3%
  • The Hillbilly – 2%
  • The Plague – 2%
  • The Onryo – 2%
  • The Executioner – 2%
  • The Demogorgon – 2%
  • The Cannibal – 2%
  • The Cenobite – 2%
  • The Skull Merchant – 2%
  • The Pig – 2%
  • The Dredge – 2%
  • The Artist – 1%
  • The Hag – 1%
  • The Nightmare – 1%
  • The Singularity – 1%
  • The Twins – 1%

It’s surprising to see the Skull Merchant has a 2% Pick Rate, especially after the rather drastic nerf that she received. Maybe players are willing to finally try her now that she isn’t just a one-trick Pony? Needless to say, I’m happy to be in the 3% of Clown players, even if the majority of my time was spent helping players farm for Bloodpoints during events.

Deadliest Killers in Dead by Daylight During December & January

What may be a bit more surprising than anything is the sheer number of victories that some of these Killers can claim over the unsuspecting survivors. Here are the Killers with the highest Kill rates from December 30 to January 29;

  • The Skull Merchant – 70% Kill Rate
  • The Onryo – 67% Kill Rate
  • The Cenobite – 63% Kill Rate
  • The Nightmare – 63% Kill Rate
  • The Plague – 62% Kill Rate
  • The Pig – 61% Kill Rate
  • The Dredge – 61% Kill Rate
  • The Spirit – 61% Kill Rate
  • The Shape – 61% Kill Rate
  • The Mastermind – 60% Kill Rate

Much like above, there are only so many Killers you can fit on one graphic, so here are the remaining Kill Rates for the other Killers on the roster:

  • The Executioner – 60% Kill Rate
  • The Hag – 60% Kill Rate
  • The Artist – 60% Kill Rate
  • The Xenomorph – 59% Kill Rate
  • The Blight – 59% Kill Rate
  • The Wraith – 59% Kill Rate
  • The Wraith – 59% Kill Rate
  • The Nemesis – 59% Kill Rate
  • The Legion – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Good Guy – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Twins – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Oni – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Cannibal – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Clown – 58% Kill Rate
  • The Deathslinger – 57% Kill Rate
  • The Trapper – 57% Kill Rate
  • The Trickster – 57% Kill Rate
  • The Demogorgon – 57% KillRate
  • The Singularity – 56% Kill Rate
  • The Huntress – 56% Kill Rate
  • The Ghost Face – 56% Kill Rate
  • The Nurse – 55% Kill Rate
  • The Hillbilly – 54% Kill Rate
  • The Doctor – 51% Kill Rate

On average, Killers are eliminating 58.50% of Survivors — that means we Survivor Mains need to step up our game a little bit to ensure that we aren’t getting killed as often. While the Limited Time Lights Out mode may not have helped our statistics by any means, I can only hope they bring it back in the future for more exciting matches.

Survival Rates For Groups in Dead by Daylight During December & January

The final bit of information that was shared by the Dead by Daylight development team was the Group Survival Rates, showcasing how well groups of Survivors did to escape the clutches of the Killers they were facing off against. As you can see from the graphic above, it seems that High MMR (Skill-Based Matchmaking) players were able to avoid meeting an untimely death, maybe because they’ve read up on how to avoid getting Tunneled while playing.

No matter if you’re a new player or a seasoned veteran, there is plenty to love about Dead by Daylight. Be sure that you’re keeping up to date on your game knowledge with our section below, and learn more about how to avoid getting Three Genned while working with your team to survive.
