If you love these cute little creatures, they’re even more adorable in their Shiny form. There is a plethora of Pokemon that can be caught in Pokemon Go, but what about Yungoos? The Gen 7 ‘mon looks like a mongoose, therefore the name. But can you catch it in its rare Shiny variant?

Is Yungoos Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Anyway, yes, Yungoos can be Shiny in Pokemon Go. They have been available since Yungoos was added with the Season of Alola event on March 1, 2022.

However, just like several other Pokemon Shiny forms, this one isn’t easy to obtain. 

The base odds of finding a Shiny Yungoos in the wild are close to zero at just 0.2% percent, but still not downright impossible, so keep your eyes open. You might get lucky. 

There are a few ways to increase your chances;

1. Increase the spawn rate through the use of Incense.
2. Place a Lure Module on a PokeStop to boost the chance of the Pokemon appearing.
3. Clear the ‘1km walk’ challenge.

Yungoos might not be the most powerful Pokemon to have in your squad, but for completion’s sake, Trainers will want to add it to their Pokedex.
