Can You View your Badges in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? – Answered

All the Leaders and Bosses use the exact same guy to design their badges

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offers trainer a sprawling world with three different quest lines to follow, each treated with the same amount of care and consideration. And in the spirit of making the bosses, gyms, and titans you face feel memorable, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offers trainers a variety of badges. Yep, badges are no longer for the Pokemon League gym challenge!

But how in the world do you actually go about looking at those badges?

How can You View your Badges in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

It’s a sad fact that, for every great mechanic and cool feature Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bring to the table, there’s a flaw. Some of these flaws are pretty big – like glitching through the map or stretching your limbs, so you look like an eldritch abomination only Lovecraft could love. Others are fairly minor.

Some simply feel like obvious oversights.

Trainers will notice that the menus for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are different from in past installments and the general consensus is that it’s not for the better. If you’re attempting to look at the badges you earned, you might think the answer is to go into your profile and trainer card. And while your trainer card does display how many badges you’ve earned, it won’t show you what those badges look like.

For that, you’ll actually have to go to your map. Zoom out as far as possible, until you can see the entire Paldea Region, including to the left-side counters for Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends.

On the map itself, you’ll then see Gym Leaders, Team Star Bosses, and Titans marked with numbers. If you defeated the marked challenge, you can hover over the Leader or Pokemon with your cursor and see their associated badge.

Yes, this is the only way to see the badges you’ve earned so far. There’s no option to see them all lined up at once. It’s clunky and strange, but we can hope that we’ll get a patch in the future that will make things a little smoother.
